| Here is some bitching and drama from me. Back in November 05 I started talking to Furqan at NYX Motorsports about buying some engines from him. I told him I could take engines that he could not sell for swaps as long as they were rebuildable and I could use them as cores. We discussed this in detail and one of the motors he was going to send me he said: 2) Engine had good compression (JDM Motor). In shipping the engine was hit on upper plenum (cracked upper plenum, cracked the screw holes on the rear of the lower plenum). The Timing belt slipped ~7-8 teeth, it shredded the teeth right out. I believe the motor spins freely. It seems similar to when you remove a timing belt and the ds intake cam settles. There is still tension on the belt w/the tensioner still attached. Motor has turbo's attached. There is slight shaft play on one turbo but not much oil on both. Ok since I don't sell motors with the upper plenum attached and even if it had bent valves I could replace them I agreed to this motor. All the while thinking it could be rebuilt and used as a core. So I paid NYX/Furqan via Paypal on November 28th and they sent me Invoice #673. Since they were coming truck freight I expected them sometime mid December. Well no motors showed up and I emailed back and forth with Furqan. Excuse after excuse later I finally got the motors on Tuesday 01/24/06. So today I go to tear down one of the motors and take it to the machine shop. Here is what I found: 
Huge chunk taken out of the passenger side of the block
Mounting tab on head broken off
Mounting tab on other head broken off
Mounting tab of A/C condensor cracked
I have sent an email to Furqan with my concerns so we will see if he steps up to the plate and takes care of this problem. Thanks for reading
